Infrastructure and Equipment

​Support services for the infrastructure and equipment of entities within the Ministry of Internal Administration focus on the facilities of the security forces and other services of the Ministry, in collaboration with the Ministry’s departments, throughout all stages, from planning through to the monitoring of the material implementation of projects, liaison activities, and the preparation of implementation reports.
With regard to equipment, these services cover all stages of planning, procurement, registration, inventory management, and maintenance.
In the area of infrastructure and equipment for the Ministry of Internal Administration’s security forces, namely under the Infrastructure and Equipment Programming Law for Security Forces and Services (DLPIEFSS), under the authority of the Government member responsible for Internal Administration, approved by Decree-Law No. 54/2022 of 12 August, these services are carried out in coordination with the Ministry’s departments and security forces and services, as well as with the Ministry’s other services, within the scope of the infrastructure included in the DLPIEFSS.
The Ministerial Procurement Unit is responsible for public procurement services, together with the management of supplies and logistics, providing support both to the Ministry’s other entities and to the Security Forces and Services, particularly with regard to procedures aggregated under framework agreements.
