The informal meeting of Ministers of Justice and Home Affairs will take place on 28 and 29 January 2021. At the session on Home Affairs, Ministers are invited to consider the best way forward for the definition of an effective European strategy for migration, following the start of negotiations on the New Pact on Migration and Asylum, which took place during the German Presidency of the EU Council. The future of the Schengen Area and the strengthening of EUROPOL's mandate will also be addressed.
