International Conference on Maritime Security

On 22 April, the "International Conference on Maritime Security" took place, an event organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, supported, and attended by the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the National Republican Guard. This security force, responsible for the presentation of the topic "Cooperation frameworks for cybersecurity in the maritime domain", contributed to the discussion on Maritime Security within the framework of the Strategic Compass.

 
The event, attended by a wide range of ministerial and technical participants, aimed to promote a broad reflection on maritime security, discuss international cooperation on maritime security, the operationalisation of concepts such as the Coordinated Maritime Presences project and cybersecurity, look ahead to future challenges presented to the Union, as well as contribute to the discussion on the definition of a Strategic Compass to redefine and coordinate a true European defence strategy.
