The seminar brought together high-level representatives of EU Member States, the European Commission, Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Senegal and Tunisia, the regional Euro-African dialogue process - Khartoum Process - as well as FRONTEX, EASO, UNHCR, IOM and ICMPD.
The role of partnerships with African countries in promoting joint management of irregular migration flows and establishing tools for effective and safe return and readmission was discussed, as well as the promotion of legal channels for migration to the European Union and the role of agencies such as FRONTEX and EASO.
