Within the scope of the Portuguese Presidency of the European Union, a specialisation course on Change Management for European Union crisis management missions was jointly organised between 21 and 25 June.
The ESDC Pilot Course - Change Management in Civilian Crisis Management was organised by the National Republican Guard, under the aegis of the European Security and Defence College, and aimed at providing the participants with knowledge, skills and tools for a comprehensive understanding of the concept of change management in the context of civilian crisis management missions and, at the same time, to raise awareness of the current challenges inherent in the implementation of such an approach.
The course was attended by 17 trainees from European Union Missions, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, France and Portugal, with trainees from the National Republican Guard and the Public Security Police.
