The first meeting at technical level of the revision of the EUROPOL Regulations is held on 25 January at the Law Enforcement Working Group, which is chaired by the Ministry of the Home Affairs.
The Member States of the European Union discuss the Legislative Proposal presented by the Commission on 9 December 2021 to reinforce the Mandate of this important European Agency in the context of the European internal security strategy. Among the most problematic and difficult to reach revision proposals is the possibility for EUROPOL to be able to enter data into the Schengen Information System.
