In his speech, the Minister for the Home Affairs highlighted the main messages arising from the informal meeting of EU Ministers and reflecting the strong impetus that the Portuguese Presidency intends to give to this subject: to have a more capable EUROPOL to better support Member States operationally, to help them to manage and analyse (timely) information and share it through secure communication systems accessible in real time to those working in the field, as well as to enhance police cooperation between the different European actors in order to act better, anticipate dangers and plan ahead.
